About Akram Hospital
The journey of Akram Hospital Quetta began in 1963 when Dr. Muhammad Akram, driven by a deep commitment to community health, established a small clinic to serve the local population. At a time when private healthcare was virtually unheard of in Quetta, his visionary initiative quickly gained the trust and appreciation of the community. Recognizing the growing demand for quality healthcare, Dr. Muhammad Akram expanded his efforts and, in 1974, founded Muhammad Ali Hospital. This larger facility was built on the principles of providing Accessible, Acceptable, and Affordable healthcare services. By 1982, Muhammad Ali Hospital had evolved into a fully operational medical institution, offering a wide range of essential services that addressed the needs of people from Quetta and beyond. Over the years, it became a lifeline for patients from across Balochistan, Afghanistan, and even the border regions of Iran. However, the increasing number of patients soon exceeded the hospital's capacity, limiting its ability to integrate new technologies and advanced equipment. To meet these challenges, plans were initiated in 1995 to construct a modern, purpose-built facility in a more spacious and central location in Quetta. In 2000, Akram Hospital Quetta officially opened its doors, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and designed to accommodate future growth. Today, Akram Hospital Quetta stands as a beacon of hope and trust, carrying forward the legacy of Dr. Muhammad Akram. With a steadfast commitment to compassionate, quality healthcare, we remain dedicated to serving our community and beyond, just as we have for over six decades.
